Welcome to our blog. Me and D will aim to keep you all enthralled with lively updates, anecdotes and photos from our travels, which I am sure you will await with abaited breath.

We are now in Switzerland where last weekend Renée an André got married in Luzern. It was great to meet her new friends and family here and catch up with some Welly mates at the party. The wedding ceremony was held by the lake side where afterwards we celebrated with abundant bottles of champagne. Then the 60 or so guests drove off in a convoy round the lake, making as much noise as possible, to a large chalet set in the hill side where we partied for the rest of the weekend. Having now recovered from all the drinking and eating we have been spending the last couple of days lounging round the city, eating lots of cheese and watering the honeymooners' plants while they are in the Maldives.

Luzern is a truely picturesque town. Perfect. Almost a little scarily perfect. Surrounded by looming snow capped mountains, clear blue sky and crystal clear lake water, not a blade of grass is out of place. All the swiss stereotypes -clean, green swiss cheese eating machines, including that of the trains running exactly to schedule, are true. Furthermore this has made us realise how crap the English transport system truely is!

Brown cows adorn the green grassy hills weighed down by enormous metal bells. Just like in Heidi. These bells, however, are noisy as hell. A whole herd of cows passing by is enough to scare the shit out of you. I am convinced the cows must either be all deaf because of it.
